The Benefits of AAA Membership for RV Owners

If you’re an RV owner, you know that traveling in your rig comes with a unique set of challenges. From flat tires to getting stuck in a muddy ditch, the road isn’t always as smooth as you’d like. That’s where the American Automobile Association (or AAA, for short) can step in to provide reliable support, offering a range of benefits that can make your RV journey a lot less stressful.

AAA has been around since 1902, serving millions of members with road service, discounts, and travel assistance. For RV owners, there are added benefits when you upgrade your membership to a Plus or Premier level and include the Recreational Vehicle (RV) and Trailer Assistance coverage. Whether you’re traveling in a motorhome, travel trailer, or camper truck, here’s what you can expect with AAA’s RV Plus and Premier memberships.

What Do Plus and Premier Memberships with the RV Services Include?

Both the Plus and Premier AAA memberships offer the same core benefits, such as roadside service (which includes roadside assistance, fuel delivery, vehicle lock-out service, and more!),  hotel and restaurant discounts, travel guides, and access to travel planning assistance. But for RV owners, there are additional perks that cater specifically to the needs of traveling in a larger vehicle.

With the RV add-on to your Plus or RV Premier membership, you get enhanced protection to keep your RV and journey running smoothly. Services include:

  • Towing – Towing is one of the most valuable services AAA offers. With RV Plus, you’ll get tows up to 100 miles each, while RV Premier offers one tow up to 200 miles and additional tows up to 100 miles each. That’s peace of mind if you’re stranded on a remote stretch of highway.
  • Flat Tire Service – If you blow a tire on your RV or trailer, AAA will send out a technician to replace it using your spare tire, so you’re not left in a tight spot. This service includes eligible dual-wheeled vehicles.
  • Double Extrication Service – If your RV gets stuck in a muddy ditch or snowbank, AAA will dispatch technicians to help extricate it. If that’s not enough, a second truck and operator will be sent at no extra charge.

Additional RV Membership Perks

In addition to the roadside and emergency services, an RV-specific AAA membership offers a few extra benefits to help with your RV lifestyle:

  • RV Insurance Quotes – Get free quotes for RV insurance, so you can compare prices and coverage without the hassle.
  • RV Financing – AAA members also enjoy preferred loan rates on RV financing and refinancing, making it easier to afford your next adventure.
  • Discounts on Parts and Supplies – Save 10% on parts and supplies at participating Napa Auto Parts stores.

Is AAA RV Membership Right for You?

If you’re a frequent traveler or want the added security of knowing you have support when things go wrong, upgrading to a AAA RV membership is definitely worth considering. The services provided—especially towing, flat tire assistance, and extrication—are incredibly valuable for RV owners who travel long distances and often venture into less populated areas.
